Where our prices come from

AI never supplies the prices, specifications or offers we list. They come from our database, which is filled only from authorised sources: the retailers' official affiliate APIs, licensed data providers, and our team checking a listing and entering it by hand or in bulk. Every price shows the retailer it came from and when it was last checked, in Indian Standard Time.

A listed source is not necessarily active: sources that need an account or credentials are only used once they are connected.

What the labels mean

Each label appears on deals exactly as shown here.

Checked 3 h ago
When we last confirmed the price with its source. The full date and time is shown next to the price as “as of”.
Price may be outdated
Our last confirmed price is more than 24 hours old. It may have changed, so check the current price at the retailer before buying.
Last check failed
Our latest re-check didn't succeed: the source didn't answer or limited our requests. We show the last price we could confirm, with its time, and try again later.
Not available at retailer
At our latest check the retailer no longer listed the product, or showed it as unavailable. We remove its price until a later check finds it again.
Not yet verified
The price hasn't been confirmed by a price check yet. Check it at the retailer before buying.
Deal expired
The offer has ended or the product is no longer available at this price. Expired deals are shown only for reference and only when you ask for them.
Affiliate link
We may earn a commission if you buy through this link. It never changes your price. See our affiliate disclosure.
Featured
Picked by our team. Featured placement can't be bought.
Sample data
A fictional example product and price used to demonstrate the site. Not a live offer.

A deal's end time is shown only when the retailer or source gave us one. We never show countdown timers, stock counts or “people viewing” messages.

Why some Amazon prices are hidden or have no history

Amazon's affiliate terms only let sites like ours show Amazon.in prices that come from Amazon's official API, are less than 24 hours old and carry an “as of” time. When we can't meet those conditions we show See price on Amazon instead of a number, with the reason. Amazon also doesn't allow price tracking or price history without its written permission, so Amazon.in deals have no price chart.

Flipkart's API terms don't expressly allow storing price history, so we keep history only from sources whose terms allow it, such as prices our team records itself. Where history is shown, we only call something a price drop when we have at least 30 days of our own records, and we show the lowest price we recorded in the previous 30 days next to it. We never claim a price is the “lowest ever”.

How we use AI

  • Search

AI turns a question such as “headphones under ₹2,000 for calls” into filters. We show you how it read your question so you can check and change the filters.

  • Shopping assistant

The assistant looks products up in our database before it answers. Before you see an answer, our server checks the products, model names, rupee amounts, bank, membership and coupon offers, and key specification figures (such as battery hours or storage) it mentions against what it looked up, and removes or hides anything that doesn't match.

Other wording, such as how good a microphone sounds, can't be checked this way. The product cards, prices and offer details shown with each answer come straight from our database, so rely on those.

  • Deal explanations

Price statistics are calculated by our code; AI only puts them into words. Without enough price history the answer is simply “Not enough price history to assess this deal.”

  • Behind the scenes

AI drafts product descriptions and spots data problems for our team. A person reviews every suggestion before it is published.

AI answers are always labelled

AI can still misunderstand a question or describe something inaccurately. AI answers are always labelled: “AI-generated. May be inaccurate — check the price and details on Amazon.in/Flipkart before buying.”

AI features are currently switched off. Search still works using keywords.

See our terms for AI features and how the privacy notice covers your questions.

How we rank deals

The default order, Most relevant, uses these factors, most important first:

  1. Match to your search words

How closely the product's title, brand, model, tags, category and description match what you typed. (Only applies when you search with words.)

  2. Live before expired

Current deals come before expired ones. Expired deals appear only if you choose to include them.

  3. Featured

Deals our team has featured come next. They are always labelled “Featured”, and featured placement can't be bought.

  4. Most recently verified

Deals whose price we confirmed most recently come first.

You can also sort by price: low to high, price: high to low, biggest discount (compared with the M.R.P. listed by the retailer), newest or recently checked. Deals that tie are then ordered live first, then featured, then most recently verified. Commission rates and payments play no part in the order.
